When we first start your platform, we run an initial ranking distribution across all the main search engines for your website. Including Bing, Yahoo, Google Desktop and Google Mobile. The reports track up to the top 30 positions.
We monitor and discover new keywords each month that is included in the platforms marketing program to gain exposure for your brand.
We track up to 30 positions, as those rankings within the top 30 are benefiting your overall citations and have the opportunity to continue to climb into the next category of the top 20 and then top 10.
From time to time, you will notice a drop in rankings, not from original but from the increases. The ranking distribution can change from month to month. The main reason this happens is that we remove keywords that are no longer relevant or of value meaning the search volume dropped below trackable amounts. Each month we look for new keywords being used within your market and also competitors. These do change every 90 days on average; we make adjustments on keywords. Most the most part, overall rankings increase, however sometimes they do go down as we remove keywords and terms.
Most important is to always measure the increase from the original rankings.
